Mira is a board game rules assistant operated by Cita de Juegos ("we", "us", or "our"). Mira is accessible at miralibrary.com and through associated channels.

2. What Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create a Mira account, we collect:

• Email address
• Display name
• Preferred language (English, Spanish, or French)
• Account creation date

2.2 Usage Data

When you use Mira, we automatically collect:

• Queries submitted — the questions you ask about board game rules
• Games consulted — which games you query about and how often
• Query timestamps — when queries are made
• Session data — session duration, number of queries per session
• Feature usage — which features of the platform you interact with (Rankings, My Collection, etc.)
• Monthly query count — for usage allowance enforcement

2.3 Voice Data

When you use the voice message feature, your audio recording is captured in your browser and sent to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription. Only the transcribed text is stored and processed by Mira. We do not store or retain the original audio recording.

OpenAI's handling of audio data is governed by OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

2.4 Photo/Image Data

When you send a photo in chat, the image is transmitted to Anthropic's Claude API for visual analysis. We do not store or retain the image in Mira's systems. The image is used solely to generate the AI response.

2.5 Collection Data

If you use the "My Collection" feature, we collect:

• The list of games you add to your personal collection

2.6 Patreon Connection (Optional)

If you choose to connect your Patreon account:

• Your Patreon user ID
• Your current pledge tier and status
• The date you connected your account

We do not store your Patreon email, payment information, or any financial data. Patreon access tokens are stored server-side in encrypted form and are used only to verify your membership tier.

2.7 Technical Data

We may automatically collect:

• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• IP address (for security and abuse prevention)
• Error logs and crash reports (via Sentry)

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party analytics beyond what is described here.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

3.1 AI Queries

Queries you submit to Mira are processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. When you use voice input, your audio is first transcribed by OpenAI's Whisper API; only the resulting text is forwarded to Claude. When you send a photo, the image is transmitted directly to Claude for vision processing. Anthropic's and OpenAI's use of this data is governed by their respective privacy policies. We do not sell or share your queries or media with third parties beyond what is required to operate the Service.

3.2 Anonymized Insights

We may generate anonymized, aggregated reports about game popularity, query trends, and platform usage. These reports contain no personally identifiable information and may be shared with board game publishers or the community.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, and hosting
• Anthropic — AI query processing and photo/image analysis
• OpenAI — voice transcription via Whisper API
• Vercel — hosting and serverless functions
• Sentry — error monitoring
• Patreon — membership verification (when you connect your account)

Each provider is bound by data processing agreements consistent with applicable privacy laws.

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Mira, its users, or the public.

4.3 Business Transfers

If Cita de Juegos is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before this occurs.

5. Data Retention

Voice recordings are not retained by Mira. Images sent in chat are not retained by Mira. You may request earlier deletion of other data at any time (see Section 8).

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Firebase security rules restricting data access to authorized users
• Server-side-only access to sensitive tokens (Patreon credentials)
• Regular security reviews

No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

7. Cookies and Tracking

Mira uses minimal cookies:

9. Children's Privacy

Mira is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

Mira is operated from Canada. If you are located outside of Canada, your data may be transferred to and processed in Canada and other countries where our service providers operate (including the United States). We ensure that such transfers comply with applicable privacy laws.

11. Third-Party Links and Services

Mira integrates with and links to third-party services (BoardGameGeek, Patreon, etc.). This Privacy Policy does not cover those services. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:

• Posting the new policy on this page with an updated date
• Sending an email notification to registered users

Continued use of Mira after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
